Steel Magnolias at ACT

Visit Truvy's beauty salon where all the ladies who are anybody have their hair done. The wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice. "I'm not crazy, I've just been in a bad mood for forty years." Filled with hilarious repartee, the play moves toward tragedy when one of the ladies who is a diabetic risks pregnancy and forfeits her life. The sudden death draws on the strength and love of the characters which make make them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable.
