“Rarefied Light,” an annual juried exhibition organized by the Alaska Photographic Center, showcases the best of Alaska’s fine art photography. Juror Cig Harvey of Rockport, Maine, selected 61 photographs from 641 submissions by 109 Alaska artists. She awarded Best of Show to Eagle River photographer Maggie Skiba for “Taurus,” a pigment ink print on cotton rag. After the exhibition closes in Anchorage, it will travel to Fairbanks, Kenai and Kodiak. On view Oct. 5 through Nov. 25.
