Alaska Youth Orchestras Fall Concert
Friday, Dec 7, 2012 7:00p
Alaska Center For The Performing Arts
Anchorage,
AK
Our program is filled with some of the brightest and most interesting work in the repertoire. We start our season with Copland’s beautiful and rhythmic Appalachian Spring – a Pulitzer prize winning ballet written for the incomparable choreographer Martha Graham. Our first program concludes with Pines of Rome, Ottorino Respighi’s brilliant and poetic description of his beloved Rome.
Each concert will feature the Anchorage Youth Philharmonic and its new and exciting conductor, William Waag.
