Raven Returns: The Story of the Human Beings

The second performance of the Jack Dalton:retrospective 1999-2013 series. First premiered at the Alaska Native Heritage Center in October 1999, Raven Returns was Jack's first "epic storytelling" production, in which all of the stories in the performance tell a much bigger story. In this case, it is the entire history of the Yup'ik culture, from the Creation Legends, through historical facts, to today, and some would say a little ways into the future, instilling a sense of hope.
