Back-country winter travel with gear (and children) is much easier with a sled. Author and outdoor enthusiast Jen Aist will demonstrate several DIY designs for pulk sleds to pull children or gear while snowshoeing or skiing into the back-country. In addition to a demonstration and discussion of pros and cons of different designs, Jen will have handouts with instructions and a list of materials needed to assemble your own at home. Free program; $5 parking for non-members.
