The Bear Tooth Theatre Pub is the newest member of the Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria and Moose's Tooth Brewing Company family (the Bear Tooth also happens to be the mountain right next to Moose's Tooth in the Alaska Range.) When you enter the building, you'll find over 12,000 square feet of remodeled lobby and theatre space including a 70 seat casual dining area and a 400 seat single screen movie house with a 125 seat balcony and a 275 seat main floor. Unlike conventional theatres, the Bear Tooth offers freshly prepared food and draft beer and wine for consumption inside the theatre while watching the movie. But don't worry about spilling-every other row of movie chairs has been removed and replaced with tables, providing you with the perfect place to set a cold draft beer, enjoy Halibut tacos, nibble on a hand dipped bon-bon, and stretch out the legs. And if you're not 21 or older, the theatre has an all ages seating area for enjoyment of everything except the beer. General admission movie tickets are a nominal $3.00, the booth section in the back of the theatre are reserved seats and are $5, you must buy the entire occupancy of the booth (4x$5=$20). Reserved seats go on sale on Tuesday at 12 noon for the week starting the following Friday. You'll find the Bear Tooth friend and family friendly and located just off Spenard at 1230 W 27th just west of Spenard Road in the old Denali Theatre.

I never usually take the time to write reviews but I do have to say the Bear Tooth is a refreshing change. I have always had great food but do have to be carful of my choises because trying to eat some foods in the dark can be a little tricky. I do have to comment on one person's opinion. Mel_m you are really a nut ball anyone who puts their hands on a stranger and wonders why he is kicked out of a venue really needs his head checked. The staff at the Bear Tooth are always friendly and have to put up with a lot of different challenges, they should have called the police on you, just kicking you out!! showed great patience. We all come accross people that are rude but you however should have had a lifetime band for being such an idiot. All the best to the staff and management on a job well done.

I've been going to Bear Tooth for several years to enjoy their food, beers and the theater. 9 time out 10 the food is great and 10 times out of 10 the beer is great. The only other place to enjoy food and brew while watching a movie is at your house, and you don't have that big of a screen. ;)
Mel_h, you're writing a review for an establishment, not human nature. You have a problem with someone there, you be the adult and tell the management. You did hit that person, mildly or not. Next time play nice and keep your hands to yourself. Oh, and maybe "ask" someone to turn the phone off, being "told" to do something by Joe Blow Cranky Puss isn't going to go very far.

I've gone to Bear Tooth Theatre probably half dozen times, mostly like the $3 movie cost. Only once did I buy a meal there to enjoy during the movie, and it'll be my last time. I attended with two others who also had never eaten there, and we all agreed the food was terrible. I'm not a picky eater, but my tacos were messy and nearly tasteless. Others w/ me ordered pizza ("not very good") and a hamburger ("wasn't very good).
How hard is it to make tasty tacos, burgers and pizza??? I won't ever buy a meal there again.
At one movie I went to, person sitting next to me kept viewing incoming texts, despite numerous signs in the theatre telling patrons to turn off their cell phones. I told her to turn it off, she got snippy with me, I slightly elbowed her, honestly, barely did it, not even hard enough that I would have tipped over a glass of water. She went and told manager I'd "hit" her! He comes and tells me I need to leave right now. I tried to state my case, and argue it should be her who has to leave. I ended up leaving mostly as this whole thing was I'm sure disrupting to the patrons around us. He should have listened to my side at least.
Go if you want a cheap movie, otherwise go somewhere else
