Kirsten Price

Brooklyn-based vocalist Kirsten Price (and no, she is not the porn actress who bears the same name) is a singer's singer, and her sexy, ferocious, and soulful vocals brim with passion and attitude. Born in London, Price grew up singing in various groups and choirs, finally moving to New York City a week before the September 11, 2001, disaster took place. Signing with Sony, Price cut additional material with Raphael Saadiq and Danny Saber, and the album was completed. Label delays and snafus, however, meant Price took back the masters and decided to release the completed album on her own. The fiery and impressive Guts & Garbage finally appeared in 2008.
